There is also Powerstrip, which is quite popular......

I was thinking about doing that, but the HSF on my gf2 mx was glued on. :(
I also have a ti4200 now. :)

As ND says, rivatuner man - can be found at www.guru3d.com
also see if you can find an old 486 fan or sumink and stick it onto the HS with epoxy resin :)

Just shows ya that mem and core speeds not everything. My G3 core is only 200mhz but look at the dif in games fps even at stock!
MHZ myth applys to gpus and mem aswell as cpu's. The gpu's/mem's efficiency at that mhz is more important than the actuall mhz.
I look at it like this. Like light bulbs. One is halogen 100watts and the other Metal Halide. The Mh is 40% eficient. You'll get about 10,000 mean lumens out of it. So 60% is still being waisted as heat, or 60watts is heat/40watts turns into lights. Incadescent lights (reg. house bulbs) are about 8%!:( And Halogen about 10%. So lets see.
Input efficient lumens
100watt 8% 1000 (8watts used for light) TERIBLE
100watt 10% 1,200 (10 watts used for light) BAD
100watt 40% 10,000 (40 watts used for light) BEST
Here you can see that not only is more watts used for light BUT it also makes more lumens per light watts useage! This is almost 10x as more light on the same power. Now thats efficiency and the role it plays. Cpu's/gpu's/mem, its all the same in way or another. So the more waisted the more you need. This stuff isnt any dif.
P.S. If anyone questions the validility of the above. I can prove every word. I took residential/industrial lighting in school but also have recently done experiments with lighting on my own (home lab setup deal). I've succesfully built my own LCD projector for tv/movies/pc. And folks I dont sell the info/plans, no gimmicks, its free to all....I'm also currently in the middle of some light polarization theorys I have been running through my mind. 3m has even helped me by supplying sample films and etc. So none the less I know abit about light, lets say that. And it just hit me how similar it is to pc efficiency. O.K. By:t
