Half life is the easiest to mod
Quake 2 based engine is a bit confusng as is the UT engine :eek:
Id say start out with HL and worj your way up :)

Somebody didn't bother to learn about unreal tounament mods. The three mods I listed have more polish, playibility and graphics than most HL mods (maybe not dod), and are vastly superior to any JK2 mod. :p

It has so many fan made missions and mods! http://www.thief-thecircle.com I even have a few mission there. Also, check out the Morrowind site, because that game has so many great mods!

the way i see it is, because i play so much DoD, i expect other mods to live up to DoD.. but they don't, they don't even come near.
So of those who have never played it, or don't like Team playing games.. then of course you don't know what its like for a team mate to open a door, you prime a nade and throw it in, kill an enemy, storm the room, shoot three bullets into an enemy's head, capture the 5th flag with your mate then carefully running to the last flag, killing another 2 enemies with swift like action and capping the flag... excellent :D.

Yeah - didnt really like Infiltration myself
...oh and BTW i played DoD aaagggges ago once.. and swiftly uninstalled it... not as bad as infiltration, but still not very good :eek:
IMO there is only one classic Hl mod... TFC

Almost every game is mod able
it only depends on your taste

HL has an SDK floatign about at www.planethalflife.com also Deus Ex has an SDK ou there somwhere too - try the files section at www.planetdeusex.com ;)

some of my friends wants to make a FPS mod involving transformers. The only problem is that they are all 3d modelers. So they asked me to try to do the coding. My only experience with programming is PASCAL and small amount of C. Well i'll give it a try.
