Doom III ****??

sure. The graphics are unmatched, and the developer is legendary, but I could seriously see this game being awful gameplay wise. how come there arent any gameplay videos, just ones that show off the game's power. what if it actually sucks?? what if it actually isnt good. whoa:eek: i know its a small chance, coming from the makers of Doom, Wolfenstein 3d, RTCW, and Quake III, but what if....:eek:

i got to see in game footage at quakecon :) its gonna be hella scary, and sooooooooooooooooo sexy, and the story line is cool too, nothin better than one dude bein trapped with a bunch of monsters and an arsenal of weaponry... time to kick some *** I CANT WAIT FOR THIS GAME! WHOOOOO!

I figure there is about a 70% chance of it being **** when it comes out, I didnt like Doom I or Doom II, and sequals usually never live up to the games before it (but they sometimes do, take Ace Ventura or Hitman for example).

Whoa! You didn't like Doom 1, or Doom 2? :eek: What could have possibly been better than those games back in the day? And what reasons do you have for predicting that 70% chance of it being ****? You do realize what company is making the game, and how much effort is being put into the whole project...

I think its gonna be a shift in style for ID more of a horror game than all guns blazing FPS which might throw some ppl at first..but id say taht with the ID pedigree theres a very minor chance its gonna be poor

I think that there is no chance of the game being poor. I mean, if the story sucks, you still have the purdy graphics which raise the game to a "fair" no matter what the gameplay is like :p :r :t

i remember when i was playing Doom 1 or 2 like back on 97? i feel so dizzy... :x.

I just went to gamespy.com to check out some Doom3's screenshot it really kick ****. But i dont like those game.. i like CS style..

I don't think Doom III will live up to the hype but it should be a solid game. Hope it actually comes out next year...

I also saw the ingame footage of Doom3 in the theater, and i assure you all, its goin to be sweet. Im not sure about the multiplayer, but the singleplayer looks sweet as hell.. i cant wait.
