I got a new harddrive, an ibm deskstar 7200rpm 60 gig. On my western digital 20 gig i partitioned it into 3 partions. ON c i have whistler xp, on e is winme and f is for my programs. D is the ibm for storage like videos mp3s ect. But when i run win me it locks up whenever i acces anything on my IBM drive. If i'm listening to mp3s or watching a video it will just lock up and the harddrive light will stay on and i have to hit the restart button. But it works flawlessly in Whistler xp. ANyone know why??

THanks MIke

Thats what i thought it might be. But i don't want to reformat two partions and re-load everything again. Is there a way with partion magic maybe that i could move the two partions around, so winme would be on c and win xp would be on e? But still retain all the settings and the dual boot menu from xp? Thanks.

I have never tried to do what your now asking but truthfully I dont see how as you have the bootloader on the C drive and the Bootloader will become the E drive and thus not be bootable and then again since the bootloader and other system files are not with the ME OS the same problem would occur. This is primarlily due to the fact that WinME prefers to be on the Active partiton (C drive) I think you would have better luck if it was WinME Then WinXp ect ect
