I heard and ignored how winodows ME has really upset people. Well.....I one of those upset people now :-(. Its been in for a week, new clean install, and after two days, the dll errors started coming.

Heres are the errors form the error log:
IE SWFLASH.OCX
IE IML.32.DLL
IE DIBENG.DLL
IE MSHTMLED.DLL
IE GDI.EXE
WCUPID KERNAL32.DLL
WORDPAD COMDIG32.DLL
WORDPAD MFC42.DLL
POWERDVD POWERDVDX.DLL

Its very annoying. Waiting for my Second Edition to arrive......

Where to these errors come from? All of the components in my system are new. 800mhz,256MB,20gig 7200rpm,Epox 8KTA-3 Windows me

do u put ur comp in sleep mode. i heard that if u do it will sometimes erase system files so reinstall the files and try it w/out the sleep mode and see what happens.

Cant understand why all you guys are having so much trouble with ME.

I'm as anti-microsoft as you can get; anyway I installed it on my wifes system about 5 months ago, and it's been rock-stable since day 1. Not a single error or problem. No h/w or s/w incompatibilities, nothing.

System specs:
Home built Celeron 566
Gigabyte GA-6VXE7+
256 Mb (Generic)
16 Mb TNT2 AGP
10.2 Gb Western Digital
24x IDE CD-Rom

I'm an Me booster. Over 98 se. I have so few problems. Got Me months ago. Clean install. Now I have over almost 5 gig on my wd 7200 20 gig and a 233mmx k6 *grin* IE5.5sp1. All the reals. I run a cam and netradio. A whole wack of stuff. 64mb of ram. I record and do multimedia. Yep I would like more. But this one is my baby. I know what she needs. lol. Anyway finally rolled back my clock about a month to a very high performance time and low error time. Alli ever get now is the occassional mshtml browser freeze. And I do know how to avoid that. Oh..there is that other black computer here.;-p

One question. Are you running a raid board? if so, did you setup your drive on an IDE header then switch to a raid header?. Don't work, and lotsa errors by doing it that way.

Epox 8KTA-3 mobo, not set up for raid. Ive tried optimized and fail safe defualts in the BIOS.
