I picked one of these up today (thanks to surrealchereal for scouting it out for me) Its a great case in all aluminum, extremely lightweight and very strong, perfect for me since it will be mounted on the wall... completely screwless design (cards too) no sharp edges, comes with 4 filtered 80mm fans and a 3 speed fancontrol plus 5 more fanmounts and room to spare, this will hold whatever you wanna pack in it (BIG!) needless to say it has a killer look to boot in brushed shiny aluminum and carbon fiber, heres a couple pics and a review:

I got it right here in SoCal, the place that imports them was a sunny topdown drive right from my home, (sorry I should have thought to give the website) they are in Anaheim and San Diego: http://www.bridgeview.com/

There ya go---Directron---same price @ 250$, wont be alot to ship as it weighs about as much as a large box of Cornflakes, Directron is in Texas for you east coasters...
I was reading the info with it, they have temp differences between alu and steel cases and claim a PRETTY HEFTY decrease in overall temps due to case material, they show hdd, cpu, video, internal, and external panel temps with great reduction from steel to aluminum---I have a Lexan Clearcase that shows fantastic temp reductions, my experience now is case composition may be another tweaking factor available to us...

Yep! Aluminum cases help alot! My kegger keeps a nice chill on my K62+ http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif Can't bet 1/8 thick aluminum for a case! I guess the 12 volt car fan doesn't hurt either http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

These Alu cases look great, until you start populating them with the bog-standard beige CD-Roms, floppys, etc.
Kind detracts from the look dont you think ? Too bad they dont have Alu faceplates to replace the beige ones with.
Same goes for Black cases. Look fantastic, until you see a couple of beige drives in the front. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
Just my 2c worth.

If I had a 250 dollar case, I would just paint the fronts of my drives silver. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

What people have done is attach the aluminum faceplate onto the drives front and recess the drive, or paint it...im not so keen on painting my dvd or burner at this point, or tryin to attach the knockout to them, although it is a prominent fixture in my living room, I can sorta live with the color differences...

Opps forgot to mention to TKOP that the San Diego Store has been moved to Anaheim and merged..
I must say that I could not remain so matter of fact about these cases as TKOP ... I saw them Sunday, and must say pictures do them a disservice (including the web site). They are really impressive. I have called everyone that might POSSIBLY use one to share my excitement, because these cases are BEAUTIFUL. I can't stand it, I lust over them every time I think of 'em, and unlike most pretty things, they are really beautiful AND functional! They appear really nice to work on as far as ease of access. But I think I see 'em like some men might a beautiful woman,, who cares if she can cook? teehee http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
because i got so excited again thinking of 'em
