Franklin Jones 03-12-2001, 01:14 PM I have the 12x and when my baby spits out that copy....it's good everytime plus the burn proof tech. is great because I can do a document or a scan and that's right..."my baby don't mind....8 to 9 minutes bang! HP ain't talking that.....smile....suriously it's great. Two problems are you have to have a fast enough cd rom required to take full advantage of 16x speed or it defaults to whatever your cd output speed is doing a disk to disk. The other problem is that the setup requires it to be master if you have your cd and cdrw on the same bus...other than that...Bam...I'm dun daddy. Fingers 03-12-2001, 02:54 PM Yep, if it's anything like the PlexWriter 12/10/32 you'll be very happy. Insisting BURN-Proof should be a requirement for anyone buying a burner these days. Actually 8-9 minutes is a little slow, I'm getting that trying to use up a old spindle of 8x CDR's. vfrxsw 03-12-2001, 03:44 PM Have good experience with Plextor 8/2/20 scsi and 12/10/32 ide cdrw's. From what i have read the 16/10/40 is continuing the tradition. Interesting note. It does some tests of the system before the first burn to make sure the system is as good as it is! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif fishpro619 03-12-2001, 07:16 PM Thanks everyone for the input!!!
