Does anyone know of any utilities that cancels the downloads of people who aren't sharing files? (and maybe permanently ban them?)
I'm amazed by the number of people with no shared files. You can check this by right-clicking their name in the traffic screen, and going to search for more files from "user."
About 1/2 the time, people aren't sharing files. I usually get so annoyed that I just close kazaa after sending them a nasty message.
of course I use kazaa-lite:)

Well, I think they are DL illegal software from his machine. So, I'd complain. If I ever used Kazza for this kind of contraban I'd kick them in an instant and if I had a utility to do it I'd use that.Originally posted by tricktx

Who said I was downloading illegal software? I was sharing my home videos and garage band mp3s! cough cough
Well see I'm giving my bandwidth away, and getting some in return, and I expect others to do the same.

there such software called FIREWALLs
example: Norton Internet Security 2003
with software alike YOU CAN BAN anyone you don't want, and still keep your connection open for others people

I like that Idea All Gamer, I will have to get the 2003 tonight at my Favorite local Software store. The prices are good, but the Customer Service sucks! Its like buffet style smorgasbord of products at one low Price-- Kazza-Lite.com
P2P software is like working in the mob- what ever you are in the mood for- they got it all for the same great price and usually immediatly! The risk is there, but its better than making an honest day's pay. Look at Billy Gates- he Stole his way to the big time!

Get the free Sygate or Zone Alarm
they are not as good, but you should still be able to set the rule for brocking such and such users

I agree Giblet & if there was a utility I'd use it too :)
But, I'm logged into Kazaa at the moment & it says I'm not sharing any files, which is odd cos this morning I was sharing 803 & 7 people were uploading from me. Any idea why if says this now? So if you see 2tupence downloading from you & not sharing, its not through lack of trying :)

Kazaa Kontrol.

I was referred to this when somebody canceled one of my downloads, even though I was sharing over 100 files!

Thanks for the link, omega, it's exactly what i was looking for.
Sometimes kazaa doesn't load my shared files either - reloading kazaa seems to usually fix it.

I've already kicked about 20 leaches - which means that much bandwidth for those who are sharing files! :)
