Windows ME lock ups and DLL errors!!! AARRGH!

Im just about sick of Windows ME. All it does is freeze up(every 4 hours minimum)and prop up dll errors. My wife is getting realy upset when she tries to do things, or print things and the darn screen freezes.

Any downloads to fix these problems? I think I've had a dll error in almost every program thats on ME. Ive only been using ME(full install) for 1 week.

Big Q Did you install ME on top of 98 ?
or did you do a clean install to a empty hard drive ?
the other thing is to check the manufactures web site for all the devices in and connected to your computer for updated windows ME drivers

now if you installed ME as a upgrade on top of any older version of windows http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif your easyest solution would be to back up all savable and must have data then reformat your hard drive and do a clean install of ME.

NOT A UPGRADE on top of 98

if you started from a clean install then #1 would be make sure you have the updated drivers for every thing
then start turning off programs that load at started till it runs stable if it ever does ?

as far as the .dll problem
more than likey your problem is from a program that you installed that change a .dll file to a older version that does not work with me
mabe some one else can help with that ?
