At work I acquired a "new"computer which is set up as NT. In doing so, it won't allow me to connect to a printer in that PC. When I go to add printer, the section for adding a printer to that specific unit is grey, and not an option. It will only allow for another shared printer (which I don't have). I am a novice, and looked everywhere I could to see how to "unlock" the add printer option so I could add my desktop printer...No luck...any help? If you do know how, please speak slowly and as if teaching an infant...thanks, Alan

You will need to log in as Administrator to add a printer.

That's correct. But, you only need to be a Local Administrator of that computer to add a printer. Have your Network Admin add you to the local Administrators group of your workstation.
