Whats a good utility for checking internet speed?

I am trying to tweek my connection to the net for optium performance. What is a good utility that I can use to meassure performance gain/loss? Or is there such a thing?

although this is for DSL, my cable tested at 1955 kbps down and 92kbps up... smiles- i usually get somewhere around 1100-1300 down at the other site i posted. I used several tweaks to adjust my settings and found a significant increase in speed after playing around... good luck! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Download Netstat Live from www.analogx.com (http://www.analogx.com) and use it to monitor your dload speeds. It might be a little more accurate than online tests.
