outlook 2000

having an archiving problem with outlook.
using Outlook 2000. service pack 2
windows 2000 pro machine. service pack 3

trying to auto archive my sent folder
set up the options to do it every 3 days.
this is the error i get when it tries to auto archive:

Error while archiving folder "sent items" in store "Mailbox". some items could not be copied. they were either moved or deleted, or access was denied.

i also tried to do a manual archive and i got teh same error.
any ideas?

If you are running this as an Exchange client, you will need to talk to the Exchange admin and have them repair the store.

If you are running this as a stand-alone version then you need to do an inbox repair.

Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Inbox Repair

If this isn't the exact path, it will be pretty close.
