But, in Win98/98 put a blank floppy in drive A, go into "MyComputer" and right click on A drive. Click on "format" and check the box for "copy system file", then click "start". After it copies the system files, copy the flash files onto the floppy. The flash should have a read me file. read it and follow it precisely. Good luck. sns 03-09-2001, 02:47 PM In the past I've just used one of my boot disks I've had laying around and copied the flash files (just verifying what NascarFool said). I've applied 2 firmware patches to my Ricoh CD-RW since I've had it but the patches in my case used a program that had to run in windows to back up the orig version then applied the new version before having to reboot. If its your first time it wouldnt hurt to print out the manuf instructions - just in case. driverdude 03-10-2001, 09:30 AM Thanks for the info you guys helped alot .. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif SysOpt.com
