I'm getting hooked up next week with a 256/256 DSL line. For $5 more I can get 5 static IP addys beyond my router. I would like to host a game server for ______. I have only 1 pc. I'm curious if any of you host as server on the net while playing the game on that pc. My system specs are as follows:

Athlon XP 2200+
MSI Geforce 4 ti 4600
Asus A7N266-C
256 DDRSDRAM on one bank
other misc stuff.

What complications are there from your experience with setting up your game server in regards to the ISP? I know that IANA has an ever-limited number of IP addresses, so it's important to them to not just give them out to every next Joe-nobody for a UT2003 server.

Yes - i do on my ONE IP adress... i use an iponfig to find my IP - then tell a few mates about it and set up the game, simple - no real complications on a static Ip :)

...onyl downside is my crappy 128/64 line, things get really funky with 3 or more players :x
