I.E 5.5 is giving me all kinds of ridiculous problems. It loads most pages but it says there is an error on almost every page i load. The error is always a DLL error on different lines of the page. Also i cannot open any links from outlook express and i have to paste the shortcut into my browser. I recently installed i.e. 5.5 sp1. Please help.

Try repairing it. Got to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Add & Remove Programs. Find Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and click Remove. Choose the Repair option.

In IE, go to Tools/Internet Options and click the Advanced tab. Check "Disable script debugging". This should stop a lot of the error messages, which are usually bad javascript on the page you are trying to load and not problems with your browser.

Go back to 5.01, I did and happy as punch. Quicker and less putting it through repair in "Add/Remove" http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/download/ie501sp1.htm
