I really think that i just wasted my money on a sound card. i have onboard audio, and its perfect for me:) I wish I had never bought this thing, I haven't even installed it!!:eek: It's up for grabs; Sound Audigy Gamer, or something. It DID come with Deus Ex and Giants free, though

Use it - it has a Firewire port. I consider it a prudent purchase. :)

You can always put it up on ebay or something, since it's an Audigy, it's an easy sell :t

You'll notice a difference if you also upgrade your speakers.

onboard audio can sometimes slow down the system, the individual card is much better overall :)

Hmmm, I don't understand why you think you've just wasted your money when you haven't even heard the difference between onboard sound and the soundcard.

IMO, any soundcard is better than onboard sound, plus using a soundcard frees up system resources.

Try it, you'll like it.

Yeah, run a really CPU intensive game on the onboard, then run it through the soundcard, you should notice the difference performance wise...

Heck, I noticed a huge difference between my SB PCI16 and my new SB Live! :eek:

You'll notice an improvement with that Audigy, trust me. :cool:

so i'll 2nd that :D

all new games sounds amazing with the Audigy

not much you can do for old games that didn've have better sound files ;) and that did not use the EAX feature :p
