First thing first...TAKE OFF YOUR CCCCAAAAPPPPPPSSSSS!!!
It looks like your yelling!!!
that PS while not the best is ok
It sounds to me like a hardware problem. Is it a new OS install on that sys or did you just throw the hd into your new sys from the old..
you might want to go into safemode and see if there are entrees that are old or duplicates.. if there are some ,,,remove them

Check the CPU heat in BIOS setup. You may need to re-seat the heatsink better (with thermal grease).
You didn't mention one important item - the video card. What is it and which drivers are you using?

My video card is Nvidea Gforce 2 Mx400 pci and all drivers are loaded.
My cpu temperature in bios is 33 degress

I didn't do a clean install, maybe that is part of the problem.

Sounds reasonable. Didn't you have ans MSI board before?
maryemar

Yes; Bill I have an MSI board too.
I have several computers.

Then you know full well that swapping motherboards with the same OS is fraught with peril. Works fine for awhile and then bombs - sound familiar?

So even if you format your hard drive and do a clean install, with the same operating system in my case is ME, then you have crashes? I am lost, aren't you suppose to be able to install ME on many computers?:t

If you format and do a clean install you should not have any problems.

Yes I did format the drive and did a clean install, but everytime I go to load any drivers the computer freezes up with the hour glass, I started out with the via drivers for the motherboard, then video card nvidea drivers and every since I loaded the video drivers, it hangs up on restart.
I thought this was one of the top two amd motherboards you could get.:t

It is an awsome board:D
have you tryed to remove the unnessisary boards then try to install critcal drivers?
I heard somewhere via chipsets were having a problem w/ gforce:confused: but that was a while back.

Also, you might want to go into the BIOS and set everything to default;)

He did chowdy. Clear the CMOS, use the most reserved settings, and then reinstall the OS.
