Are they any count? anyone have any horror stories :t Giblet Plus! 09-26-2002, 08:25 PM Wrong forum, but Chaintech is just fine. If you want to hear horror stories, mention PcChips. :p cheapster 10-01-2002, 12:39 AM I recently got a Chaintech 7AJA2E board for real cheap ($33, I think) from compgeeks. It is limited to 100 Mhz front side bus and won't run the XP processors, but it is very stable at default settings with a Duron 850, 512 mb of PC-133 ram, and win2k. My wife uses it as her work machine and is very happy with it. While it is not a performance champion, it seems reliable, runs stable and so far has worked well. For the money, we have been well satisfied. I still prefer my MSI boards, but then I haven't found any lately for less than $40 US, that will support up to a 1.2 gig Duron. You could have done worse. Snix 10-01-2002, 04:01 AM Hi DrDemento and welcome to Sysopt. :t The only horror stories I've heard of are from ECS motherboards. I'm not too familiar with Chaintech but believe they should suffice if having optimal performance for gaming is not an issue. SysOpt.com
