Any new GOOD scary games? [Archive]

The last scary game I played was Clive barkers "undying" that game is awsome. I am going on my 3rd time. the game before that was "the 7th hour" man that game was crazy..

I need a new scary game..I cant believe they dont make much money on them, but I have read thats why they dont

Res Evil 2, Half Life (more panick), Realms of thehaunting, system shock 2... there are quite a few.. they just seem to be escaping me at the moment :(

From what I understand, The Thing is supposed to be pretty good.

And you might all laugh at me but the Blair Witch Project games scared the Bejesus out of me. You can find them in the bargain bin too...

Wow, I have played system shock 2..I only played it for about an hr though..that SUCKs, I didnt play it enough to know it was scary:mad:

devil may cry, and forgot the name, but you are a girl with a camera taking pictures capturing ghosts to get peaces of a mirror that you must complete before time ends to stop the gates of hell opening only to find out that your camera has the last peace, and your bro stays eternally with you because you are what will stop the gates from hell from opening :D

Ah, you must be talking about Fatal Frame for the PS2. Yeah, it was pretty scary. The first Silent Hill is a good scary game as well. SS2 was good as well as were Undying and a few others that escape me at this moment.

LOL, I think Monster1's talking about a game he can pick up and play sometime this century. The Thing isn't too bad. Limited gameplay (can't look up or down, or even jump). The atmosphere can get a little spooky, and some senarios can make you feel a little anxious. But this game won't make you jump out of your seat.

and basically they are BOTH Identical with just subtle differences

same with the Invasion from something something

all 3 movies are the same base a virus that turns people into sombies like creatures :rolleyes:

Resident Evil sucked... glad i didnt pay too see that one.. if you want zombies get hold of the George Romero: Dead Trilogy or the evil dead 2 :D

...Assault on Precinct 13 was a carpenter flick too methinks... i quite like that one too :)

With the R rating Resident Evil got branded with, I was a little surprised that it wasn't more adult oriented. And the film should've stuck with the original Resident Evil 1 plot. Now that would have been pretty cool. The Thing is by far Carpenter's best work. The special effects were great for an '82 film. Not really like RE, but I know what you mean, AllGamer.

Scariest movies i have ever seen if you dont mind the reading are the japanese films:

Ring 1 and Ring 2

Its more pshycological horror mind you.. and you HAVE to see the first one, FIRST, which is less scary but it sets the scene for the sequel which occurs a few days later and is the real pant browner of the two :r

I never go to PlanetHalfLife... never have the time.

I'm either Here, at the KAB site (http://kab.gotdns.com) or here, at the CS main page (http://www.counter-strike.net).

That's provided I do any real surfing at home. My girlfriend and I are either working on our new project truck, or gaming, watching movies, etc. Surfing is a one-person thing, so I do it at work when I'm not busy :D

There's a new game coming out called- Blood Rayne... It looks pretty kewl, I'm gonna buy it.. It looks like a cross between Oni/Heavy Metal Fakk 2/Castle wolfenstein/and any survival horror.... :p

Theres are game that are scary just by heights like half-life team fortress and unreal when your character is very high and u step over the ledge u feel like ur gonna fall :eek:

Not extactaly scary as hell but sure does give some people scare for a moment.

Scariest game ever though has to be... The Sims... the scary part being that so many ppl bought the prize turd :eek:

Yes, when theres a chance of falling off the edge my heart speeds up and I get butterflys.
