A4 Proxy

Does anyone have any experience with A4Proxy? It is a proxy software that runs on your pc. It supposedly speeds up your internet connection, masks your IP and makes you totally anonymous on the internet.

I've used it. But ever since I got a cable router it hasn't worked. I've tried opening all the suggested ports, but still no go. Even when it worked, it was kind of a pain because the proxy sites I had marked for use kept going offline or running really slow. I finally ran a search for free proxies and found a list that I rotate through every now and then. And remember, there is no such thing as a truly anonymous proxy. Your IP address is always in the data somewhere, else the whole internet wouldn't work. If you think you have a truly anonymous proxy, try going to an e-commerce site and get to the page where you give them your credit card number and such. Somewhere on that page will be a statement about fraud and they will have your real IP listed right there, no matter which proxy you use.

Thanks I just though about using it since my firewall is acting up and I looked into alternatives.
