I am thinking of upgrading my computer to be better for gaming. I don't know what to buy first. Here is what I have as of now:
P4 1.8 Ghz
Nvidia Geforce 3 Ti 300 (or something like that)
256 megs RDram
Sound Blaster Live!
21inch Trinitron monitor
Harman Kardon Hk35 or some number like that speakers
What should I buy first according to new games and their requirements:
another 256 mgs of ram
Nvidia Geforce 4
Audigy Gamer
or new speakers?
Thanks, TaXi:t :t

First, I would go
More RAM
Better Video card
Sound card+speakers.

I would also go
>more ram
>G5! Dont get the g4 skip right over it. they are both dx8. The G5 is dx9 being more future proof. And the G3 still handles everything you throw at it. The G5 will be the next REAL increase in vid performance. Save your cash till then.
>Then speakers or get them while waiting for G5...hehe.
I got the G3 and the G4's dont even turn my head. Not impressed at all. Now the G5 has a twinkle in my eye. I usually skip 1 gen with vid cards. Its not worth the $ to upgrade every generation.;)

irregarudless isn't a word BTW. I get hit with a ruler everytime I say it, otherwise I wouldn't note it. Regaurdless is to for sure as irregaurdless is to not for sure.
In any case, I agree with the increasing the RAM. I'd not wait for the G5, but rather go with a R300 when the g5 hits.:D
ok I changed it;)
