I am in the process of designing a DAW. And would like some input as far as best motherboard to use. Between asus p4b533-v,
epox ep-4g4a or msi845g max-l or gigabyte ga-gxp.

Any board without built in sound is suggested - Asus and MSI really ring my chimes!

If sound is important to you, don't strap yourself to built-in audio and don't pay for it.

A great place to visit is the cubase forums. Always alot of info there. I built a system for myself not that long ago and went with an ecs kts5a+ board which was recomended by someone there that actually built/designed daw systems for a living. It's worked out well with a m-audio 2496 sound card and the price was great. The best advice I can give you is to decide on the soundcard first and then research the MB. Some sound card/ MB combos really do not work well together!
