Well, first of all when i try to run a dvd movie it is in chop city.
Amd Athlon 1700+
Soyo Dragon with 512 ddr
Radeon 8500 128mb
Sound Blaster live 5.1
I got to control panel and goto to ati multimedia center and it has a test for dvd compatibility.... ok my results are
I failed these
Direct Show compents are no installed properly
WDM INI files are not installed on this system
I got warning for...
Soundcard with clock stability of -0.91%
its about to make my angery my friend with a k6-2 and a voodoo3 can run dvd's fine and i cant?!:confused:

From the sounds of it, you answered your own question in part.
It appears the problem is that of a graphical driver nature - missing Direct Show and WDM files.
Im presuming that your using a Software DVD player ? Or do you have a decoder card installed ?
I cant directly say what the problem is.. but its of a grahical nature.
So try...
Checking the video drivers you have installed.. are they 2K release ?
Also check your software DVD player.. maybe it didnt install properly ? etc, etc.

Reinstall DX 8.1 and enable DMA for your DVD ROM drive :)

To start with, Ignore the Sound card, warning, it just means your sound card sucks, cuz of the INTERFERENCE inside the PCs, i get that warning too
if i remove enough PCI stuff to basically say the only thing left is the Sound Card, then i get no warnings
The Direct Show, you can fix that by Re-installing Direct X 8.1b
the WDM files, you need to re-install the Video Capture Drivers
