I had an ATI Radeon 7500 AIW and Still have a SB Live! 5.1 MP3+. Removed the Radeon, PC rebooted all the time after I installed XP. PC would hang on "DEVLDR" at shutdown untill I removed the Creative SB driver and installed a Windows driver.
Now my PC starts and shutsdown quickly, which I love, but I don'e have the sound or display quality I wanted.
Anyone else have either of these problems with thei hardware and XP compatibility?
Advice?

You didn't mention what your system mainboard is...but if by chance it is VIA, there are 4 in 1 mainboard drivers that should help with this. About a year ago, SB live! and VIA chipsets didn't mix...

MSI 645 Ultra ver. 1 mobo
Sis 645 chips and AGP
512 DDR sdram
1.8 P4 CPU
WinXP Home Ed.
I had installed all the most recent drivers for the AGP and the display driver (ATI).
Radeon was making my system reboot all the time and SB Live! drivers were hanging my system at shutdown.
Removed the 7500 card and the SB drivers the problems are gone.

YOu have a Un-stable system
Change your Creative Live to another PCI slot
and see if that helps
by the way new drivers for the Live are available, a lot of fixes on it 13meg
here try these drivers
you need to install them all

Thanks AllGamer,
I'll try them. It may be a little while before I get back. I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel and don't get on my PC nearly as much as I would like!

Why does Creative write such junky software/drivers? And why do you need the cd to install their drivers?
