I would like to connect to a news server with Newsbin Pro. Only problem is, where do I get a server? I'm in a college dorm, so I'm not sure if it comes with the internet access. Are there any free ones i can use? where do i find them?

Well try here http://freenews.maxbaud.net/ But a word of warning about free public access news servers. They are very unrelaible and can go now without notice and stay down forever.. You can always pay for news service from places like supernews.com, airnews.net, etc.
