I have had this NEC FE950 monitor for about two years and am generally very happy with it. About two to three weeks ago, the sides of the picture began to move inward and then back out again, very quickly. As time went on, the sides would "dip" further into the center, and then return to the normal position. This would happen on both sides, left and right, at the same time. I called NEC, the monitor is under warranty, and they said they would send me out a "new" (refurbished) monitor. They did not have me do any kind of troubleshooting at all, they said the monitor would have to be replaced. I agreed to this arrangement. Now, after this conversation, I decided to play around with the settings of the monitor. I made a few minor changes, and then returned the settings to the facory default. After doing this, the monitor has not acted up at all. The problem seems to have stopped. My question is, has anyone experienced anything like this? Does the problem I was experiencing in the first place indicate a bad monitor etc.. Thank you for any help/advice.
