I've been getting alot of this flickering in games (see pic). This is not related to me overclocking my vid card (MSI ti4200) lately. It has always been doing that.

It mostly occurs in Moh, Il-2, and many game menus such as dungeon siege and "the thing".

I've tried 3 different drivers 29.42, 30.82 and the new det 40s. Same thing happens everytime. I've also tried many different settings in game, and display settings.

Can this be a bad vid card, psu or fan interference?

Here are my specs:

t-bird 1.33
512 ddr
350 watt psu
SBLive value
MSI gf4 ti4200

any help is appreciated, thanks.

I had my gf2 GTS about a month ago. I never had that problem before.

So it almost has to be the gf4.

****UPDATE****

I enable AGPx2 instead of AGPx4 on my KG-7 and seemed to have fixed the problem in Moh. I'll try other games tomorow (time for bed) So I think my next question will be how do i keep AGP4 without having those glitches. thanks

Would updating my mobo bios fix this?

flashed my mobo bios. Didn't help the problem.

just keep it at AGP 2x then
it seems like the GF4 doesn't like the AGP in that mobo

no much you can do about it unless you swap mobo :p
well maybe this

try to set it at 4x, but dissable all the other features for AGP

and make sure VGA IRQ is enabled

and that the AGP aperture Size is half of your Video RAM memory

so say you have 128 set it to 64

:t

Well I give up.

I tried everything. AGP 2x isn't all that bad anyways. Can't really notice a difference in speed. There's is maybe a 100 point difference in 3dmark.

I'll just make it up by overclocking :)

Thanks for all the help
