I know in the past with other operating systems I would remove the device from device manager, drivers from add\remove programs and registry and select show all hardware where I would then select standard display(vga) and reboot, then click on the exe for my new drivers, install them and reboot. That was how I did it for my GF3 and Matrox G400 card.
Now for windows XP, if I go to add\remove nvidia drivers, reboot, hit F8 and select vga mode, boot up it tries to find the vga drivers but when I try to select show all hardware there is nothing in there but the nvidia stuff. I have tried scanning the xp cd, I just need to know what to do at that point to correctly install the vga drivers so I can install new detonators and try to fix the looping blue screen problem. I have installed SP1 and it still does it. Thanks
