I just installed UT 2003 on linux but I can't get it to run. When I click on the icon to start it, it shows the opening splash screen and then it goes away and nothing happens. Does it have to do with my XFree? I don't know if my Xfree has 3d support or not. Which version of XFree has 3d support?

Is this the full game? Or does the demo have linux support?

the 3D support doesn't come with the Xfree86

it dealt with the Video Servers (drivers)

so if you installed your GeForce properly, then it should run

Did you install WINE-X ?

that might help :t

by the way are you running XFree 3.x or 4.x ?

But I don't want to pay to get it. Is there any other web sites?

Sorry Allgamer but your first link doesn't have a download link. The second link takes you to the first link. ANd when you go to the download sections they only let me download the documentation and stuff. They won't let me download Wine X until I pay them.

never mind just forget about it

it's free and it's there

you just have to get it and compile it

if you want the compiled version then you have to pay

but they are the same

I can't even find the place where you can download the uncompiled version!! Where is it? There is nothing on transgamers site that sais click here to download or follow this link if you want wine X. And on the other one there are no files in the list.

if you took the time to read slowly
you'll have found that
http://www.transgaming.com/sources.php
takes you to
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=17631
then you can get them

nothing is Obvious in Linux, even on that last page, it just tells you how to get them

and they don't use http or ftp, so don't go looking for links, it's Linux thing that gets you there, in case you are un aware ;)
