i just installed a power color pci video card gforce2 64 mb ,mx 400 with tv-out card on p3 1g computer ,the computer has 256mb ram and is running windows ME for my fathers computer (pci because for some reason thers no agp slot ). i got every thing setup ok and the tv-out works .
my problem, is it was bought so he could utilize his dvd-rom to watch on the tv . but the movie seems slow and some times jittery. you can see a flicker or lines going down the screen at times. i tryed two diffrent movies
any sujestions ? i am going to take some vcds over to try them out to see if its the dvd-rom or possibly the card?

my only experiance is on my own and i have a visionteck agp card same as above ,but no dvd-rom .
is this normal for the dvd or ?
thanks for any help or pointers

Have you updated DirectX, the DVD software and your chipset drivers? Do that first.

What's probably wrong is that DMA is not enabled for the DVD drive in Device Manager. Open Device Manager and go to the CDROM section. Open your drive and go to Settings. Enable DMA for the drive and restart.

I'm sure that the DMA switch will help. ;)
