CD Writer

I have a Creative CD RW 8433E and I can't seem to find any software to work with this model. There is support for the 8432 but not this one. Can anyone help? When purchased Nero worked just fine but the upgrade doesn't support it. Don't have the original version of Nero nor does the place I purchased the computer at.

According to Nero's support page, your drive should work with no known problems. Here is the page:

It sounds as if your problem is located elsewhere. Possibly try reinstalling the update. What are your hardware specs, operating system, etc.?

P3 800, 128ram. I am beginning to wonder if you are correct as to another problem. I have tried 3 different software programs and no go. Will keep trying http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Are you absolutely sure that all your jumpers are set to the correct master-slave relationships. Typically CD-ROM = Master & CD-RW = Slave.

Does windows detect your drive?
and if if it does you might want to unplug the data cable and replug it so the drive is newly detected and installed in windows.
if this doesn't work check if you have (maybe) needed aspi-drivers installed.
