UT2k3 ships on September 24. Seems like some people here like it and some are doubtful. I'm going to get it, but who else is?:confused:

i've mentioned it serveral times, on the other UT2K3 threads, but people seemed to be more busy on talking about the features of the game, or either avoiding the challenge ;) :D :p

I will be buying the game you can count on me However the Linux Version wont be released for a while yet according to www.tuxgames.com it wont be released till November 1 2002

But I just wonder what kind of server will be able to run this?

For a descent server I think that the Processor and ram are gonna need to be monsters :D

Heck I will be safe to bet (for a gong show of 16 people FFA) will take a dual athlon mp2200 with 2GB ram may be alright who knows... perhaps we may need somthing higher.. such as a cray mainframe :D :eek:

I thought the version that is shipping now is Linux-compat. Maybe I'm thinking of something else.
I'm a big dork...I pre-ordered. Only because E/B had it for $40 so I thought that would be a decent price.

I don't think I'll get UT2003...well it's a great game and everything...tried the beta. But isn't it kind of same as original Unreal Tournament? I mean one of the maps I've played, it looks exactly like Lavagiant from the original with better textures...and other weapons that's similiar...

Kinda....maybe dissapointed...I'm still addicted to CS, so I won't be playing UT2003 for a while, but CS is getting old and i need a new game to play!!

Please Recommend me some good games! I like FPS (Front-Person-Shooting) and RPGs (like Final Fantasy)

Optimus Prime is right about dod being sweet. It's realistic, has pretty graphics (for HL), good teamplay and balance. Only problem I have with it is I start playing, look at my clock after a bit, and realize a few hours have passed.

i dont know the gameplay though but i think it will be better
but it will come out in 1 year or so
so ut2003 first then :)

Ut2k3 should serve as little more than a fun distraction whilst i wait for Doom 3 -- still, any distraction is a nice one :D

Multiplayer isnt everything... Doom 3 looks much better regards atmosphere and general "feel" .. i think its gonna be the closest a game has yet to come to being "art"

OH yeah back to the question...yeah i'll buy it. Bought UT, its the only game that I can honestly say I still play that I bought 2 years ago. Replay value = good.

I'm still waiting for a single player FPS that rivals the experience I had playing Half Life.

Doom will get delayed into 2003-04.

Plus a FPS shooter without Multipler. Give me a break multi-player is what makes or breaks a game. Max payne for example. Its a great game you could beat it mabey twice 3 times then Boring, it has no multplayer.

Ive completed max payne 6 times now, i love it :D

Multiuplayer is no great shakes for me, i enjoy an odd game, but SP is what makes it for me :D

I find multiplayer to be more interesting than SP, apart from CS. Have you noticed, when you go into CS and you make a couple of frags, every one calls you a 'n00bie cheater, go home to yo mama'?. Ah well, i don't play that anymore.
