on version 2144 of zonealarm is there any way to get rid of that annoying popup at bootup?

It's been awhile since I installed it but I believe there is a box you can check that will stop it from doing that.

If you're running windoze98 you can probably go to Start, Run type in "msconfig", choose "selective startup". Then go to your startup tab and go down and uncheck your ZA.

If you have a tray icon you might see if you can right click and see if it has an options or preferences setti.ng

i tryed doing the -nopopup -nosplash but it still comes up at boot up. heh i ment the splash screen advertizment at boot up not the alert popup window.running WinME

Ahhh, the splash screen! Hope someone can help. I tried the -nopopup -nosplash trick also with no effect. Oh well, a small price to pay for a terrrriffic FREE program.

The -nopopup -nosplash worked for me!

I did a double check to see if there was more than one shortcut and which one I used. There are two shortcuts, and therein may be your problem.

I (in accordance with the instructions) used the "C:\WINDOWS\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp" short cut. The correct line on the Target line reads: "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zonealarm.exe" -nopopup -nosplash
