I've got a 8500LE, and with my mobo (Abit TH7II) it came with a stick-anywhere-thermometer sensor :)

First off, I want to stick it on my video card. Where should i stick it? Should i take the heatsink off and lodge it in there? (wouldn't it make a gap between the heatsink and cpu then?). Another spot i was thinking of is the other side of the video board where the "back" of the chip is... and if i do that, what tape should i use to get it to stick? :)

Sorry coud'nt resist that one :D :D

Couldnt you glue it to your heatsink with Artic silver adhesive
rarther than taking the HS off (which don't seem too much of a good idea)

you may also stick it at the back of the card .

Puttin git on the HS wont help as the HS is not nearly the temp of the core. the backside would be best.

"what kind of tape to use"
Electrical tape. Its non conductive , non capacitive also high heat resistance. Cant go wrong. A roll of black electrical tape is like $.50
