What happen to my post?

I made a post earlier and now its gone. If I do a search for it I can find it but when I click on it, it tells me it cant be found. So whats up?

It looks like everything for a few hour period is gone. I'm missing at least 3 or 4 replies. The last thing I noticed was a post by Mntsnow in the Community about the school shooting... now it's gone.

Yeah, they must have had some problems and had to backup from yesterday.

I also noticed I could not logon to the forum for a while.

post count isnt really that important after you have been here awhile....some have gone to ultimate in under 2 months and some have been here almost 3 years and are still not there.....I will give up 789 of my posts to split between those that lost some http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif but I dont think they will let me

There were definitely posts lost during the switch, but that certainly doesn't account for the kind of numbers we're seeing reported? (I'm sure I was well over 800, but now I'm around 740) Is it possible that no old posts were actually lost, but rather the drop in total posts was due to the new server not counting posts that had previously been made in the SysOpt Community when the Community still counted toward the total?

Yeah, I kind of figured that out, even new members that joined after the Community posts stopped counting have lost messages too.

I posted a link in this (http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum6/HTML/002126.html) thread to this site, How to FTP: An FTP Tutorial (http://members.cnx.net/reboot/ftp_tutorial.htm) , but I couldn't give credit to the author because I don't remember who posted it, and I can't find the original thread that it was posted in either.
