If I do a search for it I can find it but when I click on it, it tells me it cant be found. So whats up? Fingers 03-05-2001, 01:16 PM It looks like everything for a few hour period is gone. I'm missing at least 3 or 4 replies. The last thing I noticed was a post by Mntsnow in the Community about the school shooting... now it's gone. CMonster 03-05-2001, 01:22 PM Yeah, they must have had some problems and had to backup from yesterday. I also noticed I could not logon to the forum for a while. SysOpt 03-05-2001, 01:26 PM http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum17/HTML/002636.html MiKe85 03-05-2001, 01:49 PM AHHHH!!! I liked my posts... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif Mike NDC 03-05-2001, 06:15 PM Yeah, I'm missing some posts that I posted in here: http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/011842.html Dan! I was wondering what the heck was going on! LOL NDC 03-05-2001, 06:16 PM ****! I just looked in my profile and think I'm missing like 130 Posts! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif [This message has been edited by NDC (edited 03-05-2001).] codybear 03-05-2001, 06:39 PM post count isnt really that important after you have been here awhile....some have gone to ultimate in under 2 months and some have been here almost 3 years and are still not there.....I will give up 789 of my posts to split between those that lost some http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif but I dont think they will let me NDC 03-05-2001, 06:56 PM Well, it's not the post count that matters to me. What matters is that I took my time to post these replies and now they're gone! Oh, well! Life goes on..... hehehe http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif Fingers 03-05-2001, 07:26 PM There were definitely posts lost during the switch, but that certainly doesn't account for the kind of numbers we're seeing reported? (I'm sure I was well over 800, but now I'm around 740) Is it possible that no old posts were actually lost, but rather the drop in total posts was due to the new server not counting posts that had previously been made in the SysOpt Community when the Community still counted toward the total? Barney 03-05-2001, 07:35 PM You might be right! Yes, that has to be it. That's why I only 'lost' 40 posts, because I only post useful stuff. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif Search found 117 topics in SysOpt.community where I posted in. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/redface.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif Ronald Variable 03-06-2001, 04:45 AM I think your theory is wrong, fingers, since I am really missing posts!! They are gone ... vanished! Variable 03-06-2001, 04:45 AM Double post AGAIN!!!! [This message has been edited by Variable (edited 03-06-2001).] Fingers 03-06-2001, 04:55 AM Yeah, I kind of figured that out, even new members that joined after the Community posts stopped counting have lost messages too. I posted a link in this (http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum6/HTML/002126.html) thread to this site, How to FTP: An FTP Tutorial (http://members.cnx.net/reboot/ftp_tutorial.htm) , but I couldn't give credit to the author because I don't remember who posted it, and I can't find the original thread that it was posted in either. It appears to have died an early death, it was only just a few days old. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif Wiruz 03-06-2001, 07:22 AM think that's bad? i lost my senior member status! Fingers 03-06-2001, 07:24 AM cadd, http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum17/HTML/002648.html The good news is that you guys get to have another "Senior party" in Community. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Sorry though, I'm not giving out another gift. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif [This message has been edited by Fingers (edited 03-06-2001).] Wiruz 03-06-2001, 07:34 AM Imagine this happening to RC5? Variable 03-06-2001, 07:54 AM I hate to be the one to brake it to you but... It seems <FONT size="3"><FONT COLOR="darkred">NOBODY is a Ultimate or Senior Member anymore!!!!!</FONT c></FONT s> Fingers: your profile shows you as member Barney: you're only a member too! NDC: only a member codybear: you're only a JUNIOR MEMBER (maybe it's the name ....? ;-) CMonster: member Fingers 03-06-2001, 08:08 AM HOLY SMOKE!!! Well now I'm really MAD! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif (Fingers snickers at codybear, Junior, LOL) Mntsnow 03-07-2001, 12:48 AM and just to finish this one off and ask that the complaining and whining be kept to the community forum http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif SysOpt.com
