19" perfect flat monitors...any suggestions..

i'm thinking of getting a 19" CRT perfect flat monitor. Any brand/model suggestions??

The Samsung 955DF gets very good reviews and the price is hard to beat. You should be able to find it for ~$300+s/h.

I'm real happy with my ViewSonic PF790. My local CompUSA was selling truck loads at real good price --$250?? Don't remember the price exactly (I'm married so its better to not remember how much I spend on computer stuff http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif)

I'm sure the guru's who frequent these pages wouldn't go near such low priced stuff, but I stand in front of all those montors at the store and frankly, I can't tell much diffence between a Sony, a Mitsubishi and a ViewSonic or SamSung. Bottom line is I'm happy with my choice -- suits me visually and $$$.

The LG flatron series has a 100% flat screen - and very good specs - check it out.

Yeah, LG Flatrons are great monitors. I'm using one for one of my systems and it flats not the word for it, it looks as if concaved in. It also has very clear crisp screen. I'm very happy with it!


Another monitor I would recommend is KDS 19" Flat Screen Monitor. It uses the Sony Trinitron tube and it also has a very clear, crisp output. The best part is that it's very affordable....

Why don't you get yourself a 17" TFT Display? The viewable area should be about the same as a 19" Monitor, it is perfectlyflat, colors look much better and it is very very nice on your eyes!

I have the Samsung 955DF 19" at home. Really nice monitor and the display is definitely flat on this sucker. Very vibrant colors and an all around great monitor.
