Tom Pico 03-05-2001, 12:17 AM I'm real happy with my ViewSonic PF790. My local CompUSA was selling truck loads at real good price --$250?? Don't remember the price exactly (I'm married so its better to not remember how much I spend on computer stuff http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif) I'm sure the guru's who frequent these pages wouldn't go near such low priced stuff, but I stand in front of all those montors at the store and frankly, I can't tell much diffence between a Sony, a Mitsubishi and a ViewSonic or SamSung. Bottom line is I'm happy with my choice -- suits me visually and $$$. Wiruz 03-06-2001, 07:25 AM This is the second time i post in this topic - i wonder where my post got "moved"... The LG flatron series has a 100% flat screen - and very good specs - check it out. NDC 03-06-2001, 07:33 AM The second time I post this reply also! Yeah, LG Flatrons are great monitors. I'm using one for one of my systems and it flats not the word for it, it looks as if concaved in. It also has very clear crisp screen. I'm very happy with it! Another monitor I would recommend is KDS 19" Flat Screen Monitor. It uses the Sony Trinitron tube and it also has a very clear, crisp output. The best part is that it's very affordable.... JackAndCoke 03-06-2001, 07:35 AM i love my samsung 900NF and i seached and read reviews forever before i made up my mind some sites with hardware reviews are www.cnet.com (http://www.cnet.com) www.reviewbooth.com (http://www.reviewbooth.com) www.neoseeker.com (http://www.neoseeker.com) www.zdnet.com (http://www.zdnet.com) www.epinions.lycos.com (http://www.epinions.lycos.com) www.crev.com/reviews (http://www.crev.com/reviews) www.anandtech.com (http://www.anandtech.com) hope this helps.... Variable 03-06-2001, 07:47 AM This is the second time I post in this topic!! My other post went AWOL!! (or was stolen....) Why don't you get yourself a 17" TFT Display? The viewable area should be about the same as a 19" Monitor, it is perfectlyflat, colors look much better and it is very very nice on your eyes! Variable 03-06-2001, 07:47 AM Hey guys something is wrong.... I get double postings ALL the time! This is strange! [This message has been edited by Variable (edited 03-06-2001).] drizzle 03-07-2001, 12:33 AM I have the Samsung 955DF 19" at home. Really nice monitor and the display is definitely flat on this sucker. Very vibrant colors and an all around great monitor. http://www.samsungmonitor.com/html/955df.html socalgal 03-07-2001, 12:39 AM Moved to Monitors forum. SysOpt.com
