I recently got cable (YIPEEE!!) and before I had it, my movie files played fine. I had a bunch of movies in avi and mpg format, and they all had sound. But now when I play them, there is no sound. I play them in Windows Media Player, and the little volume control shows that the volume can be adjusted, not like a movie that has no sound to begin with and it is greyed out (the volume control). But I can turn it all the way up, turn my speakers all the way up, and nothin. No sound. Deathly silent. Anybody know how to fix it and get my sound back?
The cable is AT&T@Home, if that has anything to do with it. I'm running Win98se, and I don't know what version of Media Player it is. I've messed with settings and things, and for all you sarcastic people out there, yes the speakers are turned on and no it is not muted in my controls. I can still play mp3's luckily. If you got any ideas throw them out there and I'll take them under consideration.
