Has anybody heard anything good/bad about Internet Security & Acceleration Server?
Maybe know of any links that I can look up some more info other than what's on MS's page? Basically I'm looking for the truth and NOT MS Propaganda!
Maybe some info on security tests ran against it vs Cisco firewalls etc.

(I personally think the hardware is far better than duh software but I've been asked to research the software so that's what I'm doing!)

Thanks!

It's good to see you're going into your research with such an open mind.

Most hardware solutions are better then software solutions, but given the "gimme it free" mentality we all (me too) have, it's nice that there are some software solutions (MS as well as non-MS).

I apologize for my pessimism but the contract my employer is on, requires absolute security and history tells us that MS commonly puts functionality in front of security (for instance Outlook doesn't bother asking you if you want to run the VBS script embedded into the html before running it). There are many other instances of this occurring including server software. I personally think it's an interesting project and I do want to give it a shot to see what it can do. However, I need evidence that if some little kid up in Canada is having a bad day and attempts a DOS attack against us, that it's not going to tear us down. That would be BAD! This contract requires the absolute in security and I'm not about to lose my job because I failed to do my research properly.

Thanks
