Hello world,

I just got a new keyboard and I noticed that there was a new key called the Fn key.

What does it do and what is it used for?

When it is pressed it doesent seem to do anything. Does it have some future use?

"Fn" key is what you call a Function Key... you use that key in conjuction with another key (usually with the F1, F2, F3 etc.. keys) The Fn key is used to activate hot keys usually found on laptops.....

I think keyboard manufacturers put the "Fn" key for people who want to use external full size keyboards for their laptops or for their docking stations....It's useless on a desktop computer....
