I've got two computers I want to network with a LAN connection. Does anyone know a good online tutor for a quick and easy setup? Windows help will take me days to figure it all out right.

A friend gave me a cable but I don't think it is a crossover. It's a Belkin category 5e patch cable. It also says ethernet/token ring. Will this work? BJUK 09-14-2002, 06:30 AM I am not a network expert and i have not used 98se but i beleve that 98se has built in networking and internet shareing. I use xp and brought a bilkin crosover cable only yesterday hear in the uk. the package reads: Cat5e crossover for PC TO PC connection Patch cable. Rj45 male/male. Part no A3X126-10-ylw-m The straight through is Part no A3L791- OR Part no A3L850- Mine is yellow and clearly says crossover on it. on a tag at one end. At least you will Know if you have the right part. The rest of the softwere setup is not as bad as it seams, Althoug i have donit i dont feal confident enough to help. Sorry. I did as suggested and found a decent site on Google. It looks like I got the wrong cable here. Now I know why nothing was working right to start with. It's not a kit cable so I quess it'll have to wait 'till my next trip to Kona, but I do love paradise. :t SysOpt.com
