Again, please point out anything, anything at all, I know the video cards not the best in the world, but i don't game too often, and 2D isn't really all that inportant to me, just as long as I can see the text. I wasn't sure if any of the IDE drives came with a cable, so i just picked up 3 of them, at $3 a peice, I'm sure i can find somewhere else for them to live. Do i need anything else??? I say an ATA100 cable, do i need one of those too? And I'm going to use a copy of win 98 i have, Do i need to get any software for the dvd drive?? I see that my videa card has some dvd playback specs, but i don't know too much about it. here are some links for ya:

Be very careful with Muliwave. I and the other tech guy in our deptartment used to order fromt ehm exclusively but have had loads of problems recently and have decided to quit using them alltogether.

They sent us bad hardware, they mis-shipped the replacements after being reminded to ship when they forgot to do so. Then the replacements were in tattered, crushed boxes.

MWave.com is having aVERY difficult time right now...

Please beware
Dave

Thanks for the tip-off dave. I haven't had any experience with them myself, but know people who have, only had one problem, with a bad part, but it was corrected quickly and without hassle. Hope it just an isolated problem.

Any thing on the config anyone?

If you are looking to slash prices, I suggest www.pricewatch.com, (http://www.pricewatch.com,) which is a listing of websites and retailers who offer parts dirt cheap. The first vendor on the list offers a 256 MB DIMM for $66 after S&H. I also recommend www.computersupersale.com, (http://www.computersupersale.com,) as they tend to have a lot of hardware bargains. You can replace your sound card with a sound blaster live!, which is sold for 39.99 there.

ok here the deal, got my bank statement today, and it was $500 more than i thought. So it's time to upgrade those parts. Any suggestions? I've already decied since my last post to scrap the DVD drive, and upgrade to a t-bird 900, and i found some of the parts quite a bit cheaper at newegg.com, seems reputable, but not too many people rated them yet, only 14 as of today. anyway, thought about uping the sound card and the video, i can get the sounds card, I'll just go with a SB, something, depends on prices, maybe the 5.1 gamers one. but i don't know about the video, i thought that 32MB geforce2 MX for $99 was a pretty good deal, I'll probably go for one with DDR, and maybe some more I/O stuff to play with. Also got the Retail version of the proc, just for the 3 year warrenty. Might go for a better case, any suggestions? must fit under a regualr sized desk, or almost, I can compimise. And i found a pretty good deal for a 12X burner that i might get. anyway, thought welcome.
