need some help finding a QUALLITY stick of RAM, looking for something close to this:
256 MB 168-pin SDRAM PC133 unbuffered, non-parity, 7.5ns, 3.3V, CL=2
I had this setup priced at crucial for 89.24 w/ free shipping, looking to cut some costs, really doin't want to do this, but I some cheaper RAM, i figure,(with your help) i can cut off about $20 without comprimising quality too much. I don't have to have it in one stick either, so if you find 2x 128 that would work too, i can take that too. all help is appreciated. Thanks

I got my 256mb running Micron chips for 85 after shipping from core computers.

One way to save would be to go from cas2 to cas3. This doesn't impact performance in most things, but saves money. Another idea is to change manufacturers, but Micron is generally regarded as one of the best. I'd say go for the CL=3 stuff at Crucial's website and know you're getting quality stuff.

yeah, i know. Anyway, it doesn't matter anymore. Got my bank statement today, $500 over what i thought it should be (yes, i called the bank to verify) , hehehe, time for some upgrades baby, think I'll go with solid state hard drives, oh wait, i guess that $500 won't do to much for me with those. Thanks anyway

At $90 for 256 MB, it ain't gonna get much cheaper. If you want it for free, you should've gotten up on President's Day Sunday and been the first in line at CompUSA!
