It should be possible to change the name of a piece of hardware in the Device manager through the Registry.
I'm asking because I re-installed WinME and I have 2 identical NIC's (one for my home network and one for DSL). And to cnfigure them properly I would like to give them different Names (Realtek .... #01 and Realtek .... #02 for example).
This should be possible in the registry.
Does anyone maybe know where and how?

I just searched the Registry and found it twice (okay 4x times but I have 2 so I found both 2x).
I changed both instances (you have to watch out wich correspond by their NET #) and it WORKED!!!
