Windows installer!!!!! Help!!!!!

Hi to all.

I have been trying to install new drivers for my system, and all was going great until I decided to update the drivers for my voodoo3000 graphics card. That is when the windows installer problems started. I downloaded msiexec.exe 2.0 and msicu but both need windows installer to be installed and the error message for all my problems is the same:

'The windows installer service could not be accessed. this can occur if you are running windows in safe mode, if the windows installer is not correctly installed. Contact personal support for assistance.'

Sys specs:
Windows2000pro(SP3)
voodoo3000

Yep I already tried that, and the **** thing says the same thing that msiexec is faulty. so I try to fix it but I cant because it is popping the same window in my face!

what you need is this

look for the msicuu.exe

then delete all instances of msiexec.exe

then do what wizard101uk suggested

I am afraid to say that I have already tried both msiexec.exe and msicuu, Even before I posted the thread!

I am unable to install msicuu or a new msiexec because the problem seem to be with the installer. I was wondering if maybe I could use an installer from some other company and not the default install from windows?
