Does anyone know of any other mp3 file sharing P2P programs out there that allow you to resume broken downloads?

The only one I know of is AudioGalaxy Satellite.

Have you tried BearShare? BearShare lets you search for and download files on Gnutella's peer-to-peer network.

I use bearshare every now and then... the only problem is you have to try 8 or 9 users before you get one that isn't busy or doing something else.

Napster has spoiled us... I heard that the deal isn't going through about using napster for a fee.

You know, I have tried Abe's MP3 finder, although it has been some time.

Never worked so well for me, and then of course I got hooked on Napster, so the rest is, as they say - history.

I'm going to miss Napster, and as I have only a 56k modem, I can't seem to download fast enough.

Take care all,

By-Tor

Oh Grendel, a Marillion (Fish) fan perhaps!

Excellent music!

WinMX is the best FTS out there. It does resume and allows you to be connected to more than just a napster server.

IRC is a chat room were you can tranfer music. You have to figure the site out first which i have not done yet. You can download the client software free at one of the following sites www.mirc.com (http://www.mirc.com) or www.turboirc.com (http://www.turboirc.com) then just go to www.IRC.com (http://www.IRC.com)

Hope this is helpful.

If you go to www.techtv.com (http://www.techtv.com) and type in IRC in the search box it will give you some direction.

What sbout napigator? Shouldn't a person be able to log on through them and pick a server like open_nap once napster is gone?

You might want to give IMesh a try. It allows resuming downloads as well as searching for file formats other than mp3. I watched a full length Divx movie the other day! LOL!

You can download it for free at www.imesh.com (http://www.imesh.com)

Napigator (http://www.napigator.com)

So far this has worked well for me, although I find that some songs have been cut off with about 15 to 20 sec. of song left.

How about news groups?
You can request songs, it just takes longer to get a reply.
However, You can get the whole album.
Usually before they hit the stores.

Hey bhess...how's that new baby?

Congates man.
