hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllp.
im havin some real problems here it all started with a "suwin" error......
then when i reformatted the hard drive to put on windows 2000 i then decided that i didnt want win 2k so i went to go back to win 98 and thats when i got my first "SUWIN" error during the setup of win 98. so i decided i'd start over and delete the partision and then i still got errors "SUWIN" caused by a "fault in ms-dos extention" and now after several fdisk's and reformats now a bad cluster error. can anyone help

Welcome to Sysopt bnld2, if after running scandisk on you HD and its showing that there are bad clusters, it time for a new drive the bad clusters will not go away and get any better. Then you can Install Win98 on your new drive. Good Luck :t

thankyou for welcome and actually after i posted this i again repartioned the HD and formatted.. ran scandisk again and so far its making its way through the installation. only thing i did different then yesterday is i lowerd the clock speed and so far it seems to be doing it... does this mean i shouldnt jump it back up once installation is finished??
