Just over the last few days, whenever I open a Midi file with any of my players(Winamp,WMP7,etc), after 4 or 5 seconds of playing fine, all of a sudden the song freezes the whole computer while the sound also freezes at the last note. The freeze is so bad that I have to re-boot. I dont know what could have caused this as I can't remember adding any new programs lately but my kids could have. I have a Duron700,A7V,256megs of PC133 ram,MX300,ATA100 30 gig H/D,etc, running on WIN98SE. Any advice? or is the best bet to try and re-install the Players again. Something must have caused the Midi files to freeze? All other formats appear to be OK.
