:( :( :(

As I'm sure many of you know Rainbow Six: Raven Shield has been delayed until next February. Quite a change from this November. :(

The game looks phenominal, but just as we could smell it, it suffered a massive delay. :(

I've had time to deal with this but I just found out that the demo, which was supposed to be launched soon has also suffered a delay. It'll be in mid-November now. :(

Disappointing news for such a great looking game. Just thought I'd put it out there, and ask who else has suffered from the disappointement I have? Maybe not many of you since there seems to be a small group of dihard Clancy fans.

You didn't think it would come out on time did you?

Sucks though

Well I expected a delay. R63 was showing all the signs of an upcoming delay. But 'til February! WOW! That's a huge delay to not have slipped through the cracks. No one heard rumors of a Feb. delay coming until it was officially announced by RedStorm. That's long! lol. Yup it does suck.:(

A lot of good games coming out before than it could cause some problems for the selling of the game. :(

Well, I suppose it might a little, but I would suppose this game will still be largely successful for four main reasons:

-It is after the Christmas financial crisis of tons of games.

-It will not be in the midst of the launches of the two similar titles Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon: Island Thunder, both with hopeful release dates this fall (the GR date is pratically set in stone as the game is pretty much done). Since Raven Shield was originally scheduled to be launched at a similar time it may have suffered then. Now it will avoid the financial crunch gamers may have in needing to pick their next Clancy title.

-The game will still be amazing as the complex new features are new and innovative.

-There are enough diehard Clancy fans and especially Rainbow Six fans out there to buy the game regardless of its date. C'mon gib, u know me by now, I'll go Clancy no matter what.:p

From what i heard a month ago it was ahead of schedule...

...anyways this one looks worth waiting for... unlike the recent "Clancy" games... ie Sum Of All Fears, Ghost Recon.. :P

lol, hey what do you have against Ghost Recon. That's been the best Clancy game yet in my opinion. Has the best theme. Well anyway, lol, that's just a matter of opinion.

But yeah, the announcement was just about a week ago on www.raven-shield.com

Depressing, but you're right, worth a wait. Just wish I had never been tempted with an earlier release date.:p

Yea Ace you may be a Diehard fan but if there are other games like it, it could cause problems.

Indeed, very true Gib. :) But I have confidence enough people will buy the game for Red Storm to consider a business success.:p

I really hope that Splinter Cell does not see a delay too! I don't think GR will but now that R6 is in Feb. I'm concerned for Splinter Cell.

I have the original Rainbow 6 and the eagle watch expansion. I found it to be challenging, but not much fun. That was a few years ago, and I believe I was trying to use a gamepad instead of mouse/keyboard. I should give it another shot. Have the Clancy R6 titles changed much since the original Rainbow 6?

Well the R6 titles (the second being Rogue Spear) was not all that different from the first, but it was a great game. However, Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield will be different in a number of different ways. It will still feel like R6, but the features in the game are endless. There will be so many realistic features such as charging through doors, opening doors partway, opening windows partway, flashbangs affect your hearing and seeing depending on where you are, etc. There are too many new innovative features to even cover them all. You should give R6 another shot and get Raven Shield. Just check out www.raven-shield.com. Or read reviews on game sites such as pc.ign.com.

Other Clancy titles are good too. The more recent Ghost Recon series is quite different from R6 and is a wonderful game. I have a feeling that Splinter Cell will be great too, and it is far different than R6! Give Clancy another shot. lol :p

Raven Shield is shaping up to have some heavy system requirements. But that'll make it beautiful!
