Hi all,
I just sold a pefectly good working IBM Thinkpad 770x to a guy. Heres the deal, I show him it working. shut it off turn it on reboot it test the sound etc. all is good just like it has been since I ve had it. I get an email from the fellow saying:

I have a little problem.. the laptop can't seem to boot into windows. It can't find the hard drive.
Any ideas?

So I mention that perhaps the cable to the HD may have come loose during the ride home.Check the bios, detect it in there?? **NOTE ** The battery in this LT is dead and will not take a charge.

Odd considering it has worked flawslessly for the past year.(w/ te exception of the dead battery) any and all ideas are welcome.

Thanks

Even the battery being dead, the BIOS should detect the harddrive. Make sure that the physical connections between the hardrive and the laptop mobo are secure.
