I'm running MD4, which is piggybacked on AC2000 (which is also having the same problem) and the pointer/cursor leaves a trail on the screen that is permanent until the screen is zoomed or regened. i'm using equipment that has all worked with this program, but not together (i switched in a new video card and some other stuff from one computer to another, and both were running the program fine before). i have an amd k7-1G with 512M, ati radeon 7500. i've tried reinstalling the software, and its not working. hte only difference from the two previous towers i had running it is that i have catia v5r7 installed as well. any clue if this is the problem? or what it might be? i have some projects to get done for work this week and am hoping to not have to reassemble the two old towers or reformat for the 203984203984023984 time.

Hmmm...
Question 1 What is the Operating System?
What What exactly is the Software? Does it Run on OpenGL 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.0? I suspect 1.3
Are you Running OpenGL or DirectX?
Does the Mouse do that all the Time or when you are in the Program?

Sorry, don't know if its opengl or directx... but i know you can set the driver for it to load when using hardware 3d acceleration through the program, and i picked wopengl6.abunchofletters. and ummm, i dont knwo if i listed the OS... i'm running windows XP... and i already had to run the program compatibility wizard and install the thing using win98/Me mode to get it to work...

Have no experience with these apps but this is where more and more people are turning to a dual-boot so they can get there work done. 98 on C and XP thereafter prefereably on a second drive when it comes to a work machine. If one drive goes down at least you can keep working with another OS especially if both OS's are fat32 to move files quickly from one to the other.

Ahhh you are Running the Windows XP Emulator that is what the Program Comp Wizard does it expands the Dos Shell to Emulate Dos Programs or Emulate Older o/S by Windows
That is the Issue Emulation works only by a 256 color Range for CAD need at least 16 bit, 24 bit ,32 bit this maybe the Issue I would go with Rangers Idea and do a Dual Boot with the OS that it worked Perfectly On if you wish to experience XP
